forty thousand, six hundred, forty, one. The equation running underneath does not change.
Only the shape goes.
“Listen” is the same bundle of relations, thrown to the ear instead of the eye.
No sound was added; the same equation is put out through another sense.
Five of them, each at a different speed.
The tail turns later than the body.
There is almost no bend at the head. It grows stronger toward the back.
This is how a real fish swims.
No fish moves by shaking its head.
The five speeds are matched to one another.
They look unrelated, but all five must return to the same positions.
