OBSERVATION 036

往来 Ōrai

Likeness

40000 points ・ 20s per turn

Press the picture and the points thin out. There are four rungs — forty thousand, six hundred, forty, one. The equation running underneath does not change. Only the shape goes.
“Listen” is the same bundle of relations, thrown to the ear instead of the eye. No sound was added; the same equation is put out through another sense.

Points circle a ring. There is a flow going, and a flow returning.

Two stretches of stillness travel the ring at different speeds.

When the flow enters one, the points are not drawn.
Even the vanished points keep circling inside the equation.
Past the stretch, they appear again.

To be, or not to be there —
what decides it is not any property of the point.
Only whether it is moving.

Reduce the points and the same thing happens.
At one point, the line becomes a broken arc.
While that point is inside a stillness, the screen holds nothing.

This is the shape of money.

The moment you stop it, it is gone.
The value is not inside the coin or the number.
It rides only on the coming and going — received, and handed on.

Fingerprint of this equation

sha256:78abcd2373728975ae69eea120c723ef8eb8962ab0b33f6cf4e8bb165d6bef21

Run at any time, by anyone, it appears in the same form.
No randomness, no clock, nothing from the environment.

The button above takes the equation out as it is. To count it again yourself:

pbpaste > f.txt && printf %s "$(cat f.txt)" | shasum -a 256

Take it and run it. No randomness and no clock are used, so the same creature appears on your screen too. The equation belongs to no one.
